Taxiing a Tail Dragger

Unlike taxiing tricycle-gear aircraft like the P-38, taxiing tail draggers can be a challenge. One thing that helps is that, while taxiing on the ground, you can pull your stick all the way back, and this will lock the tail wheel. This makes it easier to travel in a straight line with less manipulation of the rudder. To turn sharply or to pivot your aircraft, just release back pressure to unlock the tail wheel. To pivot very sharply, you can release the tail wheel, apply full rudder, and apply full wheel brake only on the side to which you want to turn.

Rearm Pads

Rearm pads are will refuel and rearm your aircraft. They do not fix damage to your aircraft. They are useful in two ways. First, if you are in a scenario, you sometimes are restricted in taking new aircraft and need to rearm instead. Second, in the Aces High main arena, you might have a perk plane that you paid perk points for. Rather than exiting the plane and taking a new one (and thus having to pay more perk points), you might want to rearm and refuel instead.

To use a rearm pad, drive you plane into the yellow circle and come to a stop. You will get a message like "rearm will be complete in 30 seconds."

Rearm pads are located at the ends of runways. See the following sections on airfield layouts to see where rearm pads are. Here is what a rearm pad looks like when you are on it.
