Hello, Mr. Betcher. Thank you very much for the information you provided about the colors of engine cowlings on Witchcraft. I think that we have just a few questions left. I do not wish to be a bother, so please feel free to let me know if I am asking too many questions.
Witchcraft seems to have a number "3" painted on the right, outboard engine housing. The photographs below have it circled for reference.
I can't tell the correct color for the "3" from the historical photographs. Also, I can't tell from historical photographs the correct color for the tail numbers, color for the "Q2" on left mid fuselage, and color for the prop tips.
The Collings Foundation B-24 has a yellow "3" on right outboard engine,
gray "Q2", yellow tail numbers, and yellow prop tips.
Are those the correct colors, or should any of them be different (for "3", "Q2", tail numbers, and prop tips)? (From the historical photographs, I'd guess that the tail numbers and "Q2" would have been white, for example.)
Many, many thinks for your information.
Sincerely,
Brooke P. Anderson
