After-Action Report

This was a scenario that ran in the multiplayer on-line air-combat simulation Aces High.
9 Sqn (flying Lancasters) consisted of me (Brooke), Popsman, Killyjim, TheKenzr, Tudza, HB555, and Flossy.
On the way to the Lutzow. Lots of escorts to help us stay safe.
Enemy FW 190's coming in, 11 o'clock high.
A FW 190A-8 takes off TheKenzr's right wing.
A FW 190A-8 blasts apart one of my bombers, but Lancaster gunners take off half
his wing and give him an oil leak. His plane explodes moments later.
Lighting up a Bf 109K-4 from my tail gun.
A FW 190D-9 going down without a wing. Our bombers have been thinned out
by the attacks.
Tallboy away on the Lutzow!
The Lutzow taking hits. But she stays up!
A FW 190A-8 hammering through in a headon attack as we fly for home. I
made it, but we did lose some bombers on the journey back.
As we didn't sink the Lutzow in mission 1, we tried again in mission 2.
The Luftwaffe CO, Ditto, comes hammering through in a Ta 152 as we make our way
toward the fjords.
A group of FW 190's coming in, 2 o'clock high.
HB555 on fire. A couple FW 190A-8's press attacks on HB555 and Popsman.
I blast away at one, but mostly (maybe entirely) miss.
A Ta 152 comes hammering through head on at enormous speed, taking some parts
off of Sg's lead Lancaster.
Tallboys away on the Lutzow!
TheKenzr on fire. We are attacked as we make our turn away from target.
We were able to sink the Lutzow in our second mission, and I made it back.
I ended up with a kill on a FW 190D-9 and on a Bf 109K-4, and hit the Lutzow in both missions.
Our fighters kept enough Lancasters alive, and the bombers sank the Lutzow. Well done, pilots! <S>!
