"Battle of the Western Kuban" was a scenario that ran in Aces High starting in February, 2018. The basic motivation was to have a scenario based on the air combat during the Kuban Bridgehead and time leading up to that.
I was Group Leader of 13 GBAP (A-20's). In our group were 1ijac, Popsman, Killyjim, TheKenzr, Tudza, and me.
Attacking an enemy vehicle base, but got spotted by some enemy fighters are we
were approaching the base.
Our missions were attack missions like that, generally entailing low-level bombing of bunkers, shooting out ground guns, or both. We would fly around under radar, trying to avoid enemy fighter sweeps and trying to pick a time to attack enemy bases when it was less likely for enemies to be there. Sometimes we made it, and sometimes we didn't.
